Today at co-op i started off with the daily business deposits. For the rest of the time i worked on cash doing transactions with one of the tellers Daniel.

Wednesday May 23rd

Today at the bank it was very busy so i stayed mostly in the back to avoid confusion and too many people . becuase when there are too many people customers get frustrated because everythings confusing.

Today at co-op i started off filing the companies deposit slips. Once that was finished i worked on some basic transactions and then i filed the rest of the time.

Today at the bank of montreal i started off helping the tellers with rolling cash, i also did the daily buisness deposit slips and i filed.

Monday May 14th 2007

Today at co-op it was very slow. I spent most of the day in the back room filing, then i worked on some transactions.

Today at co-op i worked mostly in the back filing and organizing paperwork. Once that was finished i helped the tellers with bunching their cash and doing some transactions. I also watched a Financial Planner do a mortgage and line of credit payment.

Wednesday May 8th

Today at co-op the distric Vice President came into visit the branch so we all had to make sure we were busy at all times. I also went around and checked the brochures to make sure everything was in order.

Monday May 7th

Today at the bank it was very dead, so i mainly worked with the tellers and did some training on the systems and i was being shown alot of things i didntknow how to do such as paying off taxes ect.

Friday May 4th

Today at the bank of montreal i started off doing the daily business deposits. Today there was alot of filing to do so i mainly worked on that and organizing paperwork in the back. I aslo helped out some of the financial planners with some of their filing and paperwork.

Wednesday May 2nd

Today at the bank of montreal i spent the whole time putting together BMO Bank of Montreal folders stacked with brochures, flyers , buisness cards etc. These folders are for a mortgage seminar that is taking place on wednesday night.

Monday April 30th

Today at the bank of montreal it was very busy. I mainly filed and worked with paperwork and files in the back. I also did my interview with Alma Lachia for my assignment# 3. I think that this intervew taught me alot about different job styles at the bank and...how there are many apects about each job title and how everyone is different in their own way.

Thursday April 26th

Today at the bank of montreal we had a bakesale going on for donations to the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital. I helped out by wrapping all of the baked goods and always making sure the trays were full. My job was mostly to sell the bakd goods and get donations for the Hospital.

Tuesday April 24th

Today at my co-op placement i mostly worked in the back filing and organizing all of the lose papers. I also worked with a financial planner named Cathy Ho. I helped her organize her previous years documents and prepared them into files and to be shedded.

Monday April 23rd

Today at the bank of montreal i started off filing the daily buisness deposits , once that was completed i organized the back room wher all the brochures are kept and held. I also organized all of the supplies and files in the back.

Thursday April 19th

Today at co-op i did the usual which was working on some basic transactions and filing. I also had to fix the mortgage house i made i had to make some adjustments on it because it was kind of falling apart and needed to be fixed that took most of the time up today.

Tuesday April 17th

Today at the bank of montreal i was working with the tellers doing transactions. I also did some filing... once that was completed i was working with the tellers to complete these tests that they need to do in order to get a raise.

Monday April 16th

Today at the Bank of Montreal i shadowed the tellers as usual. I also practised some basic transactions such as deposits, bill payments , and withdrawls. I also did some filing.

Thursday April 12th

Today at co-op i was helping out the tellers when it came to getting cash stamping bills, and picking up documents out of the printer.

Tuesday April 10th

Today at co-op i worked mostly in the back filing. There were alot of files from the previous week that had to be organized and filed so i took care of that. After that i worked on some transactions and served a few customers.

Wednesday April 4th

Today at the Bank of Montreal i worked alot on the computers doing basic transactions. I also learned how to correct errors once they are made such as correcting an amount on a cheque that was keyed in improperly and taking holds off of accounts.

Tuesday April 3rd

Today at co-op i started off filing the companies deposit slips. Once that was finished i worked on some basic transactions and then i filed the rest of the time.

Today at the bank of montreal i had a task to build a house out of a box to promote mortgages. It was pretty interesting on how i was thinking to puit this house together. In the end the house came together full of brochures all over it and it turned out looking really cute.

Today at the bank of montreal i was working with the tellers doing transactions. I also did some filing... once that was completed i was working with the tellers to complete these tests that they need to do in order to get a raise.

Today at co-op i worked mostly in the back filing. There were alot of files from the previous week that had to be organized and filed so i took care of that. After that i worked on some transactions and served a few customers.

Friday March 23rd 2007

Today at co-op i stayed mostly on the computers working with the tellers ding basic transactions i learned how to do money orders and how to order foreign money.

Wednesday March 21st 2007

Today at co-op i continued my job on the brochures and went to the offices and gave all the financial planners the brochures they needed. Once that was completed i did some filing for the rest of the day.

Tuesday March 20th 2007

Today at co-op i worked mostly in the back organizing all of the brochures that needed to be refreshed and throwing out all of the old brochures and replacing them with new ones.

Today at the Bank Of Montreal i sat with one of the financial planners and opened and assisted in opening an account.

Today at co-op i started off doing the daily filing. After that i was working with Daniel in the front doing basic transactions.

Today at co-op i sat with dave the whole time and worked with him on his computer doing transactions.I also did the daily filing that needed to be done.

Wednesday March 7th

Today at the Bank of Montreal i worked alot on the computers doing basic transactions. I also learned alot of new things such as ordering cheques and reversing charges etc. I also did some filing for buisness deposit slips.

Tuesday March 6th

Today at co-op i was helping out the tellers when it came to getting cash stamping bills, and picking up documents out of the printer.

Febuary 27th

Today at co-op i learned how to take a client into the vault and open her safety deposit box. I also learned the machines in which help the transactions such as the CDU machine which despenses all the money.

Febuary 26th

Today at co-op i also shadowed a teller. I had an experience with an old man that lost his bank card and so i had to go into the abm machine and look for it , that was something new i learned.

Today at the Bank of Montreal i am still continuing to shadow telllers to learn the basics of becoming a teller. I also did some filing and paperwork in the back.

today at co-op i was shadowing the tellers and i also did a few transactions. i answered the phone and helped customers with appointments.

Todat at the bank i job shadowed the tellers and basically got a feel for what they do which is basic transactions such as deposits , bill payments, withdrawls etc. I also helped out the tellers when it came to counting cash and getting cash for withdrawls.

Today was my first day at the bank. Today all i did was basicaly just went around the bank, met everyone and job shadowed a few people. i also answered a few phone calls.
